My first Imovie.
I was recently in NYC and met up with my Dad, who grew up in the South Bronx. Over the years I've heard countless stories of his childhood growing up in the city. On this day, I got to see some of the places he was talking about.

MACRO MONARCH:
My first experience w/ photo macography. Shot with a Canon 5D and ring flash at ISO 400 at 1/60 @ f3.5. This beautiful baby has been in my freezer since September. I did not kill him, he was a victim of a hit and run on the Blue Ridge Parkway during the Monarch migration south. I had a friend drive very slowly as I jumped out of my car to pick up the dying butterflies dotting the roadway. Tragic butterflies.

I have lived in eleven different cities on three different continents. I peep into peepers and craft scraps into hearts. I turn records into wrist cuffs and your special day into an album.
